Kia Ora, this is my first art attempt using 'Sumo Paint Art. This piece of art is based on the movie Bridge to Terabithia. Sumo paint is a very easy App to use, but to use sumo paint you've got to have a good IMAGINATION. I think it's time that you all know, IMAGINATION is the key to life.

A Brief Analysis of my Reading.

WALT: make a snap shot of my reading ability using the National Standards learning progressions.

This week we videoed ourselves reading an extract from Bridge to Terabithia. We had to watch ourselves and notice what challenges we faced when reading at 13-14 years. We had to choose 4 challenges that stood out the most. Then we had to think how we were going to make changes to our reading, by setting goals.

The Challenges I Face In Reading Are:

•  Reading with fluency.
•  Stopping in the right place.        
•  Be more confident.     
•  Understanding what I’m reading.

The Goals That I Will Focus On In Term 4, So To Help Me Become A Better Reader:

•     Knowing where to stop.
•     Being more confident.
•     Knowing what I’m saying.
•     Practice reading so I can read fluent.

Warriors Game

  The Warriors Game vs The Penrith Panthers

“Wow”! I said looking around the stadium. We had just entered Mt Smart Stadium and I was standing with my team the Tautoro Titans, and the Otaua Valley team, the coaches and some of our supporting parents, for the Vodafone Warriors game against the Penrith Panthers.

We all went to go and support the U20s Penrith Panthers fullback Corey Harawira Naera because he played for the Otaua team and he got picked to play for the Penrith Panthers.

We all went down in a bus from the Mana Party, if it weren't for you the Mana Party, Uncle Eru and Aunty Mere we all wouldn’t of been there.

First we were watching the NSW cup, then the U20s. Corey Harawira Naera was the fullback for the U20s Penrith Panthers. It was great watching Corey Harawira Naera Play his first game for the Penrith Panthers.Unfortunately the U20s lost to the Warriors but the Penrith Panthers NSW bet the Warriors.

After the U20s we all went and did a haka for Corey and his team, but sadly only Corey came. But it was awesome anyways because we practically came for him, so we all rocked the haka to Corey and he did it back to us. It was incredible to see Corey doing the haka with us and it was fascinating getting his signature.

After the haka my mate Te Tairawhiti and I went to go meet the Warriors and we also meet a famous boxer named Joseph Parker, it was amazing!! I couldn’t believe it. I actually got to meet most of the Warriors and Joseph Parker. We also got some of their signatures. We shook their hands as well.

Then we went and played some games to win free stuff like Warriors water bottles and balls. Also we got free Warriors stick-on tattoos. Thankfully everyone in our team won mini league balls and we all got them signed by Stacey Jones, David and Corey Harawira Naera. We all enjoyed our day at the Warriors game because we won lots of prizes and we got to meet most of my sport’s heroes.

Finally we got to watch the senior Vodafone Warriors VS Penrith Panthers live with our own eyes. This fella was a few seats away from us and saying “Warriors Cha Cha”! It was pretty funny to me and my friends and we couldn’t help but laugh at him.

“The Beast Manu gets the ball down the sideline,” the commentators say.

“Manu gets the first try!” The commentators also added.

“Yes the Warriors will win,” I said.

A big thanks again to Uncle Eru, Aunty Mere and the Mana Party and their bus that took us to Auckland. It was an amazing day, especially when  people from over the world were asking us, if they could take photos of us.
